TRAINING & ORIENTATION

The Rotary Club of Tiaong Circle places great emphasis on training and orientation for its members, both new and existing, to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to be effective leaders and contributors to the organization’s service projects and initiatives. Training and orientation programs within Rotary encompass various aspects, including:
    • New Member Orientation: when someone joins a Rotary club, they typically undergo a new member orientation. This orientation introduces them to the history, values, and structure of Rotary, as well as the opportunities for service and involvement within the club and at the global level.
    • Leadership Development: the club provides leadership training to members who hold positions within their clubs, such as club presidents, secretaries, treasurers, and committee chairs. This training equips them with the skills to effectively lead their clubs and manage various responsibilities.
    • District Training Assemblies: District 3820 conduct training seminars and workshops for club leaders and members. These events cover a wide range of topics, including effective club management, membership development, project planning, public image, and fundraising.
    • Rotary Learning Center: Rotary International’s website features a Rotary Learning Center, an online platform that offers interactive courses and resources on Rotary topics, ranging from membership growth to project planning and public relations.
    • Regional and International Conferences: Rotary organizes regional, national, and international conferences where members can learn from experienced Rotarians, exchange ideas, and participate in workshops and breakout sessions on various topics.
    • Rotary Manuals and Guides: we provides a wide range of manuals, guides, and resources that cover topics such as club administration, The Rotary Foundation, membership development, and community service projects.
    • Mentoring Programs: the Rotary Club of Tiaong Circle have mentoring programs in place, where experienced Rotarians mentor and guide newer members, helping them acclimate to the organization and make meaningful contributions.
    • Rotary Webinars and E-Learning: we offers webinars and e-learning opportunities that allow members to enhance their skills and knowledge conveniently through online platforms.
    • Rotary Exchange Programs: Rotary offers various exchange programs for youth and professionals, such as Rotary Youth Exchange and Rotary Vocational Training Teams, which provide unique learning and cultural exchange opportunities.
Normally, trainings conducted within the club are facilitated by the Club Learning Facilitator. The Club Learning Facilitator will be responsible for assuring the delivery of training, education, and support for club Leaders and members within the club, helping to relieve the Club President of this important responsibility. Here’s a sample strategy we normally implement:
      M – mentor
E – engagement of all members
      M – monitoring
      B – better weekly programs/calendar of activities/buddy system
      E – embrace change
R – revitalize/re-charge seasoned Rotarians and lastly re-assess on a monthly or at least quarterly the status of the club and its members
Overall, Rotary’s training and orientation efforts are designed to empower its members, foster leadership skills, promote Rotary’s values, and ensure that members are well-prepared to serve their communities effectively. These programs contribute to the overall strength and success of Rotary’s service endeavors worldwide.
